About this item
Proven Winners is releasing Spot On as part of its perennial offering, and with it lungwort joins that commercial range. The selection is protected by patent PP33063 CPBRAF.
Each leaf is green, with silver specks spread over the blade, so the mottled surface works as a foil for neighboring shade plantings after the flowers finish. As a medium grower, that speckled foliage carries the visual interest once spring bloom is over.
In May, buds take on a warm tone close to orange, unusual among lungworts, before the flowers open in salmon-leaning pink and shift toward blue. The habit stays a companion scale, about 15 inches tall and 19 inches wide, and it grows as a shade-garden accent rather than a lone specimen.
