A Don Dean introduction, registered in 2024, Hosta ‘Whispering Waves’ is a cross of ‘Peek-a-boo Purple x (‘Astral Bliss’ x ‘Purple Verticulated Elf’). It forms a medium mound of bright medium green foliage. The leaves are ovate with a twisted tip, but are most noted for heavily rippled and wavy margins.
